December 1st: Take a Look Back

Today is the beginning of December. There are only 24 days until Christmas and there are only 30 days until the end of 2017. Today, let's not focus on the end just yet. Let's focus on the beginning.

At the beginning of 2017, I'm sure you probably thought about all the things you needed or wanted to accomplish this year. Some people want to lose weight. Some people want to travel. Some people just want to be financially stable. There are many things that people want to have happen, but mostly the one thing every seems to want is: change.

Change is to make or become different. You should always accept change and be flexible to change. There is controlled change. There is small change. There is life-changing change. Today, I want you to think back to your New Years' Resolutions. I want you to think about the things you wanted to change or experience.

What things did you end up changing this year?

What things did you not accomplish this year?

Sometimes people shy away from change. Sometimes people are okay with things staying the same. And that's okay! Just don't shun change because some change is inevitable and some change is natural (i.e. growing older). Accept change today and every day. Be a person you love. Be a person who is happy. Be a person who is ever-changing for the better.

Today's Challenge: Look at your New Year's resolutions. Decide what items you did not end up accomplishing thus far. Pick one thing and figure out how to accomplish it before the end of the year. Did you want to quit smoking? Start taking the steps to quit. Did you want to travel somewhere new? Look at a map of your state and look at what beautiful places you have not experience. Make a plan and stick to it. Change is out there and you can take the baby-steps to grab it!
