December 17th: Go on a baecation.
Today is December 17th. There are only 8 days until Christmas and 15 days until 2018. What even! I am stunned. Can you believe it? What are your plans for Christmas? Comment below, I really want to hear them!
Do you ever feel like you need a break? Do you feel like you need to get away? Do you want to travel somewhere new but don't want to break the bank?
The title of this post is "baecation". Part "bae", part "vacation". What is a baecation? It's the term I'm using to label taking a vacation, having a little "me" time, and/or spending time with the people you love the most. Sometimes you need to take a little break. Sometimes you need a mental health day.
Today's task: Plan a baecation. Plan a mental health day. Take one full day to do things to make you happy. Get your nails done. Go visit a beautiful place, like a waterfall. Go see a movie. Read a book in the park. Plan a day. Do it. Turn your phone off. Relax. Be you.
Need some ideas of where to go or what to do?
- Wake up before 10 a.m.
- Shave
- Wear clothes you can breathe in
- Make your bed
- Eat a healthy breakfast
- Go somewhere as soon as possible after waking up, even if it’s just to get coffee.
- Avoid your bed except for sleep.
- Do 50 sit-ups

- Open the windows
- Read a book
- Log out of Facebook
- Play with a baby
- Or an animal
- Or a baby animal
- Eat out by yourself
- Try on outfits you've never worn
- Volunteer somewhere

- Drink a glass of water every hour
- Sit by the water
- Take pictures
- Write in a journal
- Go for a drive with the windows down
- Do your nails
- Sort through your clothes
- Rearrange the furniture

- Go to the library

- Brush all the knots out of your hair
- Be naked for a while
- Go to bed before midnight
