August & September 2017 TV Renewals & Cancellations


Here we are again to say goodbye to some television shows. Or perhaps we are here to welcome back other television shows. Actually, it's both. August falls in that weird time in Summer where there is not a lot of television shows. So, fingers crossed that a bunch of shows were not cancelled. Are you ready? Here we go.

  • Stitchers: I never watched you, but I thought about it every time I saw the commercial for you or the ad on Hulu. Now I'll never get to watch it as it airs. Goodbye, summer stitch.
  • The Middle: You've been on for many seasons and you were a good follow-up for the Janitor. I've also never watched you, but you had to be good to last this long. Right? Goodbye The Middle who had rating stuck in the middle.
I am so happy about some of these renewals! Famous in Love had a really dramatic first season and I'm excited to see how they unfold the ending of season 1 and continue on with the storyline. It's a good drama (better than PLL, in my opinion). I also love that they renewed Celebrity Family Feud because I think I like it a little bit better than regular Family Feud, even though I love them both. And they confirmed the return of True Detective! When was season 2? Didn't that end forever ago? Haven't we waited a lifetime for the return of True Detective? HBO is on fire, considering they also renewed Veep for a final season and Last Week Tonight for 3 more seasons. Veep is quirky. LWT is so educational and funny. I love John Oliver! Finally, Bojack Horseman was renewed for another season. I was really impressed by this last season. It wasn't as stupid funny as previous seasons. I liked the relationship growth between Bojack and Hollyhock. Anyways, there's some good returns! Unfortunately, there's some cancellations, but I think we'll survive.

So I decided to take a break from blogging about cancellations and renewals, especially since the summer doesn't have a lot of those. So I'm lumping together May, June, and July into one blog post. 2018

I stopped blogging. I stopped blogging.  I stopped blogging.  I wanted to. I just couldn’t bring myself to. I couldn’t find the words to say. I couldn’t find the time. That killed me inside. I love writing. I love expressing myself in this way. Even the television shows I used to love and blog about weren’t what I wanted to express.  I was busy in the last half of 2018. I had to find myself again. I took the longest break from blogging that I have probably ever done. But that’s okay. It’s okay to focus on yourself. To stop doing things that require time and energy to be the person you want to be.  2018 brought a lot of new and ended a lot of old. When I started the year 2018, I was a different person. I was depressed. I was sick. I was in a marriage where we both were not happy. I was spending my time between WVSU, doctor’s offices, and home. It was a constant struggle. I was losing weight. Ugly Sweater Secret Santa Christmas Party 2017

I want to take a moment to really appreciate the humans in this photograph. Oh, and Bandit, who is like a human but is clearly a dog.  On December 9th, I threw a Christmas party! I was really excited about it. Obviously because I love party planning and human contact (sometimes). I really like holidays, even though the days surrounding them seem to be questionable. Regardless, I figured a party would cheer me (and everyone else!) up. I invited a butt ton of people, but only these (+ my mom) came. And that was okay with me! I made some new friends and it was rad!  The Ugly Sweaters were bomb. I was actually incredibly impressed by the variety of ugly sweaterness that entered my home. A few were really really ugly (Looking at you, Syd & Brandon). Asia won the Ugly Sweater contest though!
