Welcome to Busy Bee Mama. This blog is an outlet for me, Dori B., to write about every and anything. Whether it's research on the history behind wreaths, what is happening on The Bachelor this week, cool Do-It-Yourself projects, fun toddler crafts, or what is going on in my life at the moment, you can probably find it here.
I came up with Busy Bee Mama randomly. I wanted it to be something related to bees because I have bees tattooed on my knees and I think I am the bee's knees (if it's true hasn't been proven or disproved yet). I brainstormed and I fell on Busy Bee Mama. I'm a busy mama and a busy bee. Hopefully you enjoy this name as well.

So why should you read this blog? I am not going to lie to you and tell you every single one of my posts will be interesting. I would love for this blog to expand and have consistent readers/followers. I would love for a community of people to come together. I would love for people who are interested in what I have to say or what I have found. There is a high likelihood that it may not happen. I can hope though. I won't give up. I will post as often as possible. If not every day, at least once a week (most likely on a Thursday). I would love you forever if you would read my posts or follow them (you can subscribe to be notified by e-mail every time I post below). If this blog is not your fancy, I apologize greatly and still want to thank you for taking the time to even consider reading it. So, thank you all in advance.
7 Things You Didn't Know About Me
- I pick things up with my toes... often and well. At least I don't cook with my toes/feet. I probably could if I really put my mind to it.
- One of my favorite junk foods is cheddar and sour cream potato chips. I could and probably would eat them every day if I could (and not clog my arteries).
- I have a dog named Bandit. I do not know what kind of dog he is, but I love him anyways. He is an escape artist. My son and him are the same age (in people years).
- I am allergic to everything. Not literally. I went and had an allergy test done last year. I was allergic to 17 out of 51 things that they tested for. Cats are the worst. It was a long process, but I am glad I have some indication about what I am allergic to. Unfortunately, they did not test for food allergies.
- I have a list of celebrities that I absolutely adore. I think I love celebrities so much because they are talented. I get sad when one dies because that talented, beautiful soul has left this Earth, especially when they die young. (Shout out to Stephen Amell, Joseph Gordon Levitt, Keira Knightley, Sam Heughan, Grant Gustin, and Julia Roberts for being perfect)
- Blink 182 is my "soul band". We were both started in Poway, California. We were both started in 1992. We began together. We will end together. (Please never break up, Blink)
- My favorite memories generally include one of two things: shows/concerts and my son. "Growing up", I would help with shows/concerts in the area. It is the one thing I miss the most [since we do not really have any in the area anymore, at least as frequently]. My son is obviously my favorite person in the world. I am biased, but he is definitely my favorite person in the entire world. He can be frustrating at times because he is hard-headed like his father as well as a proficient selective-listener. BUT we have a lot of fun, amazing times together. I would not trade him for the world.
That is seven facts that you may or may not know about me. If you want to know anything else, never hesitate to contact me by using the form to the right or commenting on this post (or any post). I hope you enjoy this journey we are about to take. Welcome to Busy Bee Mama and 2017.
