Life Update: 4/5/18

Hi guys! Here's my monthly life update. Let's break this down now.

Graduate School
I'm in my last semester of graduate school. I'll have a master's degree in like... a little over a month. All that separates me is a PowerPoint and my comprehensive exam. I've been trying really hard not to procrastinate. I'm on track to graduate with a 4.0 GPA. With my master's degree! Aren't you proud of me? In a year, I'm going to try to get my doctorate. I'm applying for the June 2019 class at Cal U. It's pretty much the best option for what I want to do. If that doesn't work, I guess Marshall Ed.D. And if THAT doesn't work, then I'm just going to not become a professor. So fingers crossed. I'm not applying until I graduate so I can just buy my transcripts once.

Mental Health
I have not started a new anti-depressant yet. I've been really stressed out lately because I'm juggling so many hats. I'm in school. I'm working. I'm dealing with my medical issues, Jude's been sick off and on, mom's surgery, etc. I'm trying to get my house situated. I'm planning a birthday and graduation party. I'm trying to lose weight and be healthy and juggle everything ever. I think I'm just overwhelmed and, right now, that's what is taking a toll on my mental health. How am I going to deal with this? I'm going to make a list and deal with one thing at a time.

General Health
Since last month's post, I have had a few changes. I have surgery next Friday on my nose. They are doing three different things at the same time. If it goes well, my sinus issues should decrease as well as my ear issues. It should also help me from talking less nasally. I told my TMJ specialist about the CT scan and he didn't seem too concerned. I'm supposed to be slowly not wearing my splint (only at night). But my jaw is not okay with that so it is taking a little longer to stop wearing it. As far as my abdominal issues, the HIDA scan showed my gallbladder at 84%. So I have no idea what has started this gastritis issue. The omeprazole is helping slightly but not wonderful. It isn't like I'm back to normal. I still have throat issues to an extent. So, I talked to my allergist about a food allergy test because I have a sneaking suspicion that may be the culprit. Fingers crossed. If it isn't, then I guess I'll talk to my gastro at the end of April.

House
We bought a house a little over a month ago. In that time, I feel like it's like 85% unpacked/done. I'm about to make a massive list of all the things I need to do and want to change. Right now, we are remodeling the bathroom. We have the old stuff torn out (except the toilet). The new vanity is put in.The shower base is mostly done. I can't wait until the bathroom is done. I don't know if I'm going to have a housewarming party. I do know that we will have a few parties next month... Jude's birthday and a graduation party! Woohoo! I want to kick out as much as I can before then. I want to be done decorating and deep cleaning and remodeling what I've started.
