April 2017 Television Cancellations & Renewals

Let's all get ready to cry a lot because April was full of cancellations. I'm a little late... but it still stands. Here is some heartbreak. On the other hand, there is some renewals. That's always a celebration. If you think April's list is bad... wait until I post May's.

Honorable Mentions
  1. Man Seeking Woman - This show was something that I tried to watch before bed to mix it up (normally I watch Family Guy, Futurama, etc.). It was incredibly weird as was the acting, but it was a show I know a lot of people liked and found entertaining. So, goodbye... Man Seeking Woman. You are now Man Seeking Paycheck.
  2. Powerless - Oh, Vanessa Hudgens. You found a new place to act. It was NBC. Unfortunately, NBC did not agree that you should have a home there. This show was quirky. The premise was that Vanessa Hudgens played a character who worked for Wayne Enterprises. It focused on the normal people who worked in the department she worked in. Not superheroes. Normal. People. I knew this show was likely to be cancelled after its first season, but it was a good, light-hearted show that was pulled too soon. So, goodbye Powerless. You are now ... much less.

Happy that A Series of Unfortunate Events, Grace and Frankie, The X-files, and Shadowhunters were renewed! I watch these shows so hooray! I definitely recommend Grace and Frankie if you need something new to binge-watch on Netflix. It's definitely definitely definitely not what you would expect. Great actors and always absorbs you into the storyline!

That's all for April. Ta, ta, for now (or forever if you were cancelled)!
